what is inner peace vs pleasure? Inner peace and balance are something we all strive for in this chaotic mess of a world. Sometimes the pressure and drama of life can seem to close in and weigh our spirits down. Keeping Inner peace at the top of your list will help you to level out and get a solid grasp on whatever life throws your way. With that being said, many of us confuse peace with pleasure. Pleasure can feel good at the moment, yet it usually equates to something that won’t benefit you in the long run. Pleasure things can consist of junk food, alcohol, risky sex, and other low vibrational methods many of us use to cope. Pleasure isn’t meant to last long and we try to trick ourselves into the moment that we’ll feel better. Yet it's doing something well for yourself that creates a sense of peace, even when it is something you don't necessarily feel like doing. Peace is created internally when we chose the right thing. Maybe eating an apple versus a bag of Doritos isnt something I would want to do. Yet at the end of the day, and even in the future my body and mind will feel much clearer and lighter. If I’m tired from the week, choosing to be lazy and glue myself to the sofa might sound appealing, but getting up and going for a walk will refresh me in no way that being stagnant ever could.
